Closets By Design Closets By Design Palm City, FL Palm City, FL Full-time Full-time $16 - $17 an hour $16 - $17 an hour Quality Control Specialist This position is responsible for inspecting and maintaining quality control on all parts, products, and overall jobs as per company policy and procedure.
This includes physically checking parts, materials, and special orders required to complete successful installation of jobs.
Note all items rejected and suggest possible solutions for improvement.
Make recut parts manually or send part label and recut form to Tech for programming.
Follow up so that parts are finished to meet install schedule.

Responsibilities:
Maintain Quality Standards for all aspects of parts and products produced Assist installers first thing in the morning with any parts that may be missing or damaged Know and understand quality control process as outlined by Closets By Design Review job folder prior to checking jobs Make sure job is correct color melamine, make sure correct edge banding has been applied Identify parts from plans, measure and count for correct quantity and size Make recuts manually and edge band to meet green cone requirements and schedule Place backing on table with rest of job Place parts on table with care, stacking to prevent damage in moving or loading Place special order hardware items on table for the job Place drawer boxes on table with job if 3 or less.
More than 3 drawers, will be stored in drawer staging area Place cut closet rods on table for the job Place Deco Doors on table for the job Place garage wall on table for the job Identify any missing parts and follow procedure to have them recut on the CNC (if necessary) Recut any parts necessary (if possible) on the saw, send to edgebander Place a red cone on table for upcoming jobs to be edge banded by install date Place a yellow cone on table to indicate job is missing parts Place green cone on job tables that are complete Track all Quality Control issues.
Discuss possible solutions with management Any other tasks that may be necessary Must have a valid Florida driver's license.
Drug free workplace.
High school graduate or GED minimum required.
Must be willing to use a saw (sliding table or vertical) to make any recuts necessary.
Must learn and know hinge boring for doors, closet rod cutting and overall quality control for outside vendors.
Work closely with the Inventory/Receiving Clerk to make sure outside products meet CBD Quality Standards.
Previous experience with Quality Inspection and Control in a fast-paced environment desired.
This position reports directly to the Production Manager and Operations Manager.
Salary commensurate with experience.
