Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Chief Transformation Officer, the Grant Compliance Director ensures that the organization is operating in compliance with grants, contracts, laws, and regulations.
The Grant Compliance Director will oversee a team responsible for various grants, quality of data, and workforce development initiatives.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Leadership:
? Lead a team to deliver high-level customer service across the organization.
? Hire, train, motivate, coach and develop team members.
? Manage staff and hold them accountable to high standards and goals, ensuring all duties are properly executed.
? Lead the development and execution of department goals and Key Performance Indicators/roadmaps.
Grant Compliance/Management:
? Develop a full understanding of the mentor and apprenticeship (DOL) grants with the capability to step in and back up the roles, if needed.
? Foster and maintain strong working relationships with the Site Directors and program staff, funding agencies, and key stakeholders, providing expert guidance and support for grant compliance components.
? Evaluate each grant and program effectiveness and determine if changes need to occur to improve goal achievement by participating and conducting collaboration, learning, and adaptation activities.
? Identify areas of concern within the grants and work with the program team to find viable solutions.
? Review grants awarded to the organization and oversee compliance requirements of those grants to include:
o Oversight that data is being reported properly, including data being entered into 3rd party systems; 2 o Review grant reports, ensuring that we are reporting accurately on grant requirements and that the quarterly/yearly reports are filed accurately; o Responsible for articulating variances that data may reflect for a grant; o Complying with grant rules - to include training and program requirements along with evidence being collected properly and ongoing audits; and o Staying on top of grant outcomes - to include monthly/quarterly updates to leadership.
? Oversee property and equipment acquisition, disposition, and management in compliance with the grant requirements.
? Act as backup for the Mentor Program Coordinator and Apprenticeship Program Manager.
? Assist in the development or revision of program materials, procedures, and policies applicable to the grants.
? Spearhead additional grant application opportunities, as agreed to prior with leadership.
Be prepared to supervise the entire grant process for the organization, if applicable.
Workforce Program:
? Overall responsibility to strategize and lead the workforce development initiative at each site in partnership with Coordinators and operations team.
? Manage development and implementation plans for workforce curriculum.
? Provide guidance on strategically developing partnerships with employers, professional organizations, workforce boards, post-secondary institutions, municipalities, etc.
? Manage and support efforts for developing and maintaining new employer and business relationships for job placement.
? Work with Coordinators to support job fairs.
? Champion ongoing workplace and life skills training to ensure participants are work-ready.
? Assure proper systems are in place to input and maintain up-to-date participant data records.
