Be part of an extraordinary life! Sandhill Cove is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant / Payroll Coordinator who is looking for a rewarding opportunity working with older adults.
The Accounting Assistant / Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the processing of accounts payable and payroll as well as providing other accounting support to the Accounting Department.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Process A/P invoices.
Maintain vendor master information and w9 files.
Proper coding of invoices.
Matching purchase orders to check requests.
Compare invoice payments to check register for accuracy.
Month-end processing.
1099 processing at year end.
Work with staff and auditors during annual audits.
Verify accuracy of community payroll deductions, net pay to internal reports; and balance payroll on a bi-weekly basis to Federal, State, and internal costing and control reports.
Compile payroll data such as garnishments, paid time off, insurance, and 401(k) deductions.
Answers payroll inquiries and resolves descrepancies as they arise.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiar with healthcare billing software.
Good oral and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 6 hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, and squat to access files and various documentation; must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion; may be exposed to a constant noise level due to the printers located in the office.

Hourly pay range - $20.
